MUNA members Carol, David and Jean attended NERT classes in January. Sessions were January 15 and January 22, from 8:30am to 5:30pm. For reference see http://www.sf-fire.org/index.aspx?page=879
NERT, Neighborhood Emergency Response Team, focuses on rescue organization in the event of a large earthquake in San Francisco. Since there are currently 299 firemen in San Francisco, it is obvious that there are not enough resources for a large scale emergency. It makes sense for neighbors to be prepared to take care of each other.
NERT training is free and is for the benefit of all.
